Sleaford Wheelers’ Kath Smith Returns to form with perfect timing!

Sleaford Wheelers long distance record holder Kath Smith has returned to form with perfect timing, after winning the ladies Lincolnshire RRA 50 mile championship on Saturday, she was also on hand to help The Wheelers virtually sweep the board in their annual Inter Club Jack O’Connor 25 mile time trial last Tuesday evening. Winning the team event with a three rider combined time of 179mins 46secs meant that Sleaford retains the trophy. On top of this Sleaford claimed Fastest Rider, Richard Hamblin 57:28; Fastest Lady, Kath Smith 1:06:56; Fastest Junior, Henry Thompson 1:00:14; plus wins in two of the four remaining categories! The Trophy Winners

Last Sunday, Sleaford Wheelers held their annual Presentation Dinner. After another very successful year of competitive cycling, members and supporters gathered to recognise the achievements of the club. Throughout the 2012 season Sleaford Wheelers have had successes in County and National competitions, but this was about performances within the club. Trophies and awards were presented by Sue Watson, representing Cancer Research, who was in turn presented with a cheque for £1,100 raised from events and raffles. The Wheelers are now looking forward to the next season and another year of competitive and social events.
